Santa Barbara architectural structures include, the centuries old Hotel Virginia, El Pueblo Viejo district in historic centre and the two pink towers of the Old Mission, which is the usual venue of retreats and celebrations. The vibrantly colored tiles of the County Courthouse houses stunning displays of murals and other attention-grabbing features.  Nearby, is the clock tower and observation area, which offers a panoramic view of the entire city. The Lobero theatre not only houses the regions leading performing arts events but also goes back to 1873 and was updated in the 1920’s by George Washington Smith.
