The annual event brings together students, artists and charities to talk about the state of the arts in Santa Barbara.  Kenny Slaught says this program is the first step in creating improved programs in the future. Other projects include funding for art students, grants for the programs who use the resources at the Santa Barbara Bowl, and gathering instruments for students who need them. A program for children at Cottage Hospital is also sponsored by the organization, as well as numerous in-school and after-school initiatives. Furthermore, the Notes for Notes project provides free music classes and instruments for students. The Notes for Notes program offers free music classes and instruments to students. The projects are being managed by a group of volunteers.
